Croix de Guerre

The Croix de Guerre and its sister group, the Croix de Lorraine are dedicated to portraying military and civilian life respectively, in France between 1913 and 1940. Founded in 2005, they are the only such groups in the UK dedicated to this period of French history.

Based around an extensive collection of original artifacts, the Croix de Guerre provides both living history and historical interpretation through museum displays. The Croix de Lorraine offers demonstrations of genuine French cuisine along with other aspects of the lives of French civilians during the period covered.

Both groups have travelled extensively around the world in order to educate and promote their activities and are founding members of The Twentieth Century Warfare and Living History Society (C20).
